Hair Trend Report: Scrunchies(Source: FameFlynet Pictures) The Heathers wore them. Stephanie Tanner wore them. Blossom wore them. Even Madonna wore them. Yes, we're referring to the must-have hair accessory of the '80s and '90s: the scrunchie. Whether they were floral patterned, coated in metallics or bedazzled, scrunchies were, like, totally rad. And just when you had vowed never to let your former childhood hair accessory see the light of day ever again, it would appear as if the cloth-covered elastic is making a comeback after all these years.

Recently, we spotted the look on Chanel runway, of all places. We imagine Carrie Bradshaw is having a heart attack right now.

We lost track of the number of times she's donned the hair piece, but this blue velvet one is definitely our fave.
