Workout Wednesday: Ilana Kugel's Heart Rate–Boosting Routine

Best fitness advice ever received: "I used to do a lot of cardio when I worked out. I started training with a personal trainer and he told me I needed to start lifting weights as well to see the greatest change in my body. I was always afraid that lifting weights would make me look bulky. My trainer taught me that adding weight training to my workout actually helps increase metabolism and boosts lean muscle mass."
Favorite pre- or post-workout snack: "When I'm really tired from work, I'll mix up a pre-workout shake before I head to the gym. Or I'll eat an apple and some nuts. The apple gives me a little sugar to boost my energy level."
Favorite workout gear: "I wear pieces from my collection. If I'm doing a yoga or Pilates class, I wear one of my Koral Activewear Jumpsuits ($137).
