Luisa Casati Personifying "Light"
Luisa, Marchesa Casati Stampa di Soncino, was Italy's wealthiest heiress in the late 1800s, which meant her outfits always made headlines the day after a ball. In 1890, Luisa attended a fancy dress ball dressed as "light". The jaw dropping outfit was made by none other than couturier Charles Frederick Worth, who is considered to be the father of haute couture.
