Freida Pinto turned the cute, classic French braid into a super-fresh version of the style by changing up the standard plait placement. Instead of two rows separated by a center part, her braids were created off-center and angled.

To duplicate Frieda's look, begin by making a side part. Braid from the part to behind the ears on both sides, following the hairline. Once you've made the two French braids, make three or four regular braids with the remaining tresses along the back hairline and secure the ends with hair elastics.

Next, wind the braids around each other and pin them in place all over the back of the head. Try to cover as much space as possible and don't worry about being perfect, just create a mass interwoven tresses. To finish the look, mist with a generous amount of hairspray.
