Diane Kruger (Getty Images) Diane Kruger's sleek updo involves styling several sections individually. To begin, make a three-inch section along the middle of the front hairline that goes past the crown of the head. Then, make two additional sections on the sides, incorporating all the hair from the temples and going back to just past the ears.
Next, start with one of the side sections, brush it up to the part marking the top section and twist hair under to create a roll. The top of the roll should face upwards and to secure it in place, insert a few u-shaped hair pins along the scalp. Leave the loose ends out to later incorporate into the top section. Repeat the roll-making step on the other side and then move on to the center section.
Do a little backcombing through the crown to create a bit of height and then sweep tresses back, drawing in the loose ends of the side rolls. Pull up hair along the back the head and add it to the top section. Secure the entire mass in a tight ponytail, twist and wind into a loose bun, adding a few bobby pins to hold it in place. To finish the look, mist the entire 'do with hairspray.
