Take a moment to make a conscious choice and effort to remain calm and grounded throughout the holidays — and then stick to it. Think of it as a promise to yourself. Hold onto it, and during those moments where you feel yourself start to panic or get stressed, remember your intention. That doesn't mean stress won't still arise, but if you make an active effort to stick to your choice, you'll be able to stop any negative feelings before they spiral out of control.
