14. Be Specific About Your Luxuries
When someone mentions something practical they want (just get me something from the Container Store!) we repel away and veto the request. Presents are meant to feel luxurious and frivolous, so give the people what they want and layout what kind of luxuries you’re looking for.

Mention your need for bath bombs, certain perfumes, how you looove getting cashmere socks, or how you’d kill for a new bath robe that doesn’t look like it belongs to someone named “Maude.”

People live for hints like that.
