Michelle Obama's inauguration dress designer Jason Wu is putting his needle and thread aside in favor of faucets. Yes, you heard right—faucets. He has teamed up with Brizo for a capsule collection.
Now, the term designer is a broad one that covers many different types including, but not limited to, fashion, furniture, and cars. Most of the time, designers in each category stick to what they know. But sometimes, there are cross-overs with the apparent logic that if you can design one thing, you must be able to design others. Some transitions are less questionable. For example, a fashion designer could legitimately take their knowledge of fabric to the interior home design realm. But recently, the collaborations have gotten weird. Case in point—faucets.
Wu's designs hit stores later this year. Will you be switching out your bathroom hardware in favor of something with a designer twist?
