Kate Gosselin's Emmy Awards Glam: Glittering Carmen Marc Valvo

Kate Gosselin (Getty) Kate Gosselin showed impressive fortitude at the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday evening. Not only did the mom of eight play into some major jokes at her own expense (Jimmy Fallon owes her big time), she also looked oh-so-elegant in a glittering black halter gown by Carmen Marc Valvo. Obviously, those elaborate Dancing With the Stars costumes did this woman no justice.

Kate complemented the gown with a classic updo (her first, she admitted, since getting extensions several months ago) and just the right amount of sparkle. Apparently Gosselin took a familiar face with her as a date: bodyguard Steve Neild. Yes, the same Steve Neild who Jon Gosselin once accused his ex-wife of romancing.
