For those unfortunate souls who missed the Met's attendance record–breaking retrospective Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty, the house has just unveiled its Fall 2011 campaign with plenty of the apocalyptic gorgeousness that McQueen made very much his own.

Lensed by Brit photog David Sims, whose clients range from BCBG to Yohji Yamamoto, this new series of ads crowns catwalker Raquel Zimmermann as McQueen's latest muse. Zimmermann, who has worked runways from Victoria's Secret to Louis Vuitton, literally shines: Armored in one image in Sarah Burton's frayed organza halterneck gown with majestic embroidered pleats, she looks rather serene as rays of hot light emanate from her head into a stormy night, which could have been sketched by another Burton—director Tim, that is.

In looks Sarah Burton themed "The Ice Queen in Her Court," Zimmermann seems to embody the essence of Savage Beauty and the very question that so tormented the heart of the late designer: Will the frail yet ferocious goddess extinguish her demons or be extinguished by them?
