Lanvin lands in NYC
Many of us long to hug Lanvin creative director Alber Elbaz—oh really, that's just me? Well look at him—he is darling! But truly, Elbaz is a genuine artist and a real admirer not just of fashion but of how fashion makes a woman feel—not in the eyes of a man, but for herself. Now do you want to hug him? Well here's one more reason: Elbaz has at last brought the storied French brand to an NYC boutique of its own.
Even amid reports that sweaty socialites were shopping the store, sans electricity and air conditioning, by candlelight last week, we couldn't help a tinge of envy: We are decidedly not in New York. If we were, we would not have been reading said report on The Cut—we would have been minding the dripping wax at Lanvin's new Upper East Side store!
All said, we're glad Lanvin got its lights and AC on. And, we very much look forward to our next East Coast jaunt!
