The Blonds have mastered the art of intricate and over-the-top corsetry, which is why their foray into Old Hollywood-inspired red carpet wear seems like a natural progression. As Phillipe Blond explained to StyleBistro before his Spring 2011 show at Milk Studios, this collection featured "something for the modern day girl, who just wants to spice up her wardrobe."

The show opened—quite appropriately—with an old-school showgirl dance number that led into Phillipe Blond's grand entrance: clad in a top hat, framed in feathers and more beautiful than most of the models who followed. What followed was a terrific, often retro spectacle: a plunging black gown worn over a crystal-encrusted leotard, a boldly masculine black blazer hung over a naughty sheer top and of course, corsets. Supermodel Selita Ebanks closed the show in a flurry of flowers and flowing green, looking very much the springtime goddess (she even wore a jeweled butterfly atop her finger).
Blonds fans who don't see themselves ordering a custom-made piece any time soon will be thrilled to learn that the duo have designed an exclusive selection of limited edition Barbies, available this November.
