Ronda Rousey is still reeling from her loss to Holly Holm a month ago, but she ditched her couch and the ice cream to keep her word to Jarrod Haschert, who invited her to the Marine Corps Ball long before she suffered the embarrassing loss in UFC 193.

Rousey bowed out of the spotlight for weeks after the defeat, but she seemed to be in good spirits Friday night. She even thanked Haschert on her personal Instagram page: "Thank you Lance Cpl. Jarrod Haschert for taking me to the Marine Corps Ball, being such a gentleman, and putting a smile on my face again."

Rousey flew to South Carolina Friday morning for the event and told TMZ it was probably a good thing she had agreed to go.

“I promised I’d go. It’s an honor to be asked," she told the TMZ cameraman. "Honestly, I’d probably stay on my couch, crying and eating ice cream if he hadn’t asked me. So it’s probably a good thing.”

Of course, pictures popped up all over social media from the ball and it even looked like Rousey was enjoying herself. Or at least she put on a smile for the inevitable selfies.

Impressive, right? It would've been very easy to be "busy" or "sick" or to have flat-out declined the invite, but Rousey again proved she's a badass and kept her word.

Haschert posted a video to Facebook back in August and it became another viral video sensation and Rousey accepted the invite.

Hey guys, I'm trying to take Ronda Rousey to the Marine Corps Ball this year and I need your help to reach out to her and her fans. Please share this post and video. Thank you!!
