Following her custom of paying tribute to the host country with her outfit choices, Kate wore a traditional shalwar kameez with a dupatta to visit a school in Islamabad during the royal tour of Pakistan in 2019. Shalwar refers to the trousers, kameez is the tunic, and dupatta is the scarf. This outfit was by Pakistani couturier Maheen Khan and rendered in blue silk chiffon with delicate white embroidery along the neckline. Kate teamed it with a pair of block-heeled beige pumps.
