Many speculated the Queen would lend Kate Middleton a grand crown for the royal wedding. She didn't, but the tiara she lent her was no less elegant and complemented her understated Alexander McQueen gown perfectly.
The tiara in question is the 1936 Halo tiara by Cartier. It's petite, but crafted from platinum and completely encrusted in diamonds. It was first seen through Kate's sheer veil, then fully revealed as she lifted the veil over her head. The effect was elegant and befitting of modern royalty.
