Guinness works a pose.
Heiress, muse, and couture collector Daphne Guinness attended Thursday evening's NARS 15X15 Project to celebrate 15 Years of NARS last night in New York City, looking nothing short of arresting in a piece from Alexander McQueen's Spring 2010 collection. And, like the runway model, she wore a pair of his famously impossible "armadillo" heels.
These heels aren't actually for sale, although that doesn't mean there aren't women willing to buy them. Apparently the company has been flooded with calls requesting the bizarrely-shaped shoes, which McQueen hadn't planned to release for retail. There's a chance that the runway footwear will be put up for auction - and that a few lucky fashionistas, like the beautiful Ms. Guinness, had pairs handed their way.
Daphne wore her dress with a wide silver belt, which really seems unnecessary in the wash of embellishments the dress provides. Still, kudos to her for being such a fabulous fashion plate.
