Brittany Matthews and Kansas City Chief's star quarterback Patrick Mahomes are high school sweethearts, meeting at Whitehouse High School in Whitehouse, Texas. Mahomes isn't the only athlete of the duo, as Matthews is a soccer player who even played professionally in Iceland. Matthews, back in the US, launched Brittany Lynne Fitness in 2019 — a website that offers a variety of training programs.

The couple became engaged in early September 2020 when Mahomes popped the question after receiving his Super Bowl ring AND the two welcomed a baby girl, Sterling Skye, in February 2021. When asked if Sterling would be in their wedding, Mahomes said, "She'll be, I think, a little over a year old by the time the wedding happens ... so hopefully she'll be able to be the flower girl and be able to be walking by then and do all that cool stuff," he adds. "But she'll be a part of the wedding no matter what."
