Agyness Deyn to Play Stripper in First Major Film Role

Agyness Deyn (Photo Agency) After a relatively quiet year mostly off the runway, British model Agyness Deyn is ready to reemerge in the spotlight—this time with an exciting role in the upcoming remake of the 1996 cult classic Pusher.

According to Vogue UK, Deyn, 28, will play Flo, a tenacious exotic dancer who finds herself caught up with a drug dealer named Frank. Agy made her film debut in the 2010 blockbuster Clash of the Titans, in which she portrayed Aphrodite, the goddess of love.

Hopefully Deyn will have more success in the film world than most of her fellow catwalkers. Ventures into acting have proved less than successful for Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Gisele Bundchen and countless others, but maybe Agyness will surprise everyone with a knockout performance. Pusher is due in theaters next year.
