Sips and Tips: Spiced Mojito and a Sparkling Mani
This crisp drink and matching mani will make you forget winter is still in full swing.
We might still be 17 days away from the official start of spring, but we're already getting in the mood for warmer weather with a zesty drink and matching mani. With a dash of mint leaves, this mojito is a welcome sip, while mint green and gold make this mani a must for spring. To mix the perfect cocktail, we called in the help of Malibu. The pros at StyleSeat, a beauty booking app with access to more than 285,000 beauty professionals in 15,000 US cities, hooked us up with nail pro Narina Chan for one decadent design. Get the recipe and how-to below.
The Sip: Malibu Island Spiced Mojito
Ingredients:
One and one half parts Malibu Island Spiced
Two packets of Truvia
Three lime wedges
Three mint sprigs
Three parts soda water
Directions:
Muddle lime, mint and Truvia in the bottom of a Collins glass. Add Malibu Island Spiced. Top with soda water. Garnish with mint sprigs. Enjoy!
The Tip: The Sparkling Mojito Mani
Tools:
Hail Nails in "Candy Rain" ($14)
Nicole by OPI in "The Next CEO" ($3)
Striping brush
Top Coat
Base Coat
Directions:
Apply a base coat followed by two coats of the mint hue, "Candy Rain." Next apply "The Next CEO" or another gold color to the sides of the nails. Work quickly so the polish doesn't dry. Take a striping brush and drag through the gold to create a feathered effect. Repeat on all nails. Let dry and apply top coat.
