Perry Ellis, Detroit native
Tracy Reese launched her eponymous line in 1996. Since then, she has earned her fair share of devotees—including First Lady
Michelle Obama—thanks to the line's mainstay: feminine designs that flatter, rather than reveal, a woman's body. You won't find bandage dresses on a Tracy Reese runway, but you are liable to come across waist-cinching frocks, gorgeous color and print combinations, and well-tailored separates you could actually wear seven days a week. Some might call it a touch conservative, others realistic, fun and flirty. Either way, Reese's woman is a modern one who knows how to dress.
