Other 2012 Golden Globe Highlights:

Best Television Series - Drama: 'Homeland'
It only took one season for Showtime's breakout series Homeland to win its first Golden Globe. The Claire Danes-led conspiracy drama has been the buzz of TV critics since the pilot episode, and it appears the Hollywood Foreign Press agrees.

The grand finale of Golden Globes came down to Alexander Payne's The Descendants, which beat out War Horse, Moneyball, Ides of March, Hugo, and The Help. Payne thanked Descendants author Kaui Hemmings for giving them a "very special gift." Can George Clooney and Alexander Payne repeat their Golden Globes success at the Oscars? Time will tell.

George Clooney may have won the Golden Globe for playing the stressed out father in The Descendants, but he was his regular jovial self during his acceptance speech. Clooney joked and thanked fellow nominee Michael Fassbender for taking over Hollywood's full frontal nudity duties.

Meryl Streep has yet another trophy to add to mantle after she took home the Golden Globe for her portrayal of Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady. Streep forgot her glasses so she had to wing her speech, but she made sure to thank "God, Harvey Weinstein."
