Mo'Nique
The Oscar-winning actress Mo'Nique took to Instagram to share her gender and race biased experience with Netflix when she discovered that she was offered significantly less than her white and male peers for a special they would be filming together.
"I am asking that you stand with me and boycott Netflix for gender bias and color bias," she stated in the video. "I was offered a $500,000 deal last week to do a comedy special. However, Amy Schumer was offered $11 million, Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle $20 million."
When she highlighted her accolades and accomplishments, she claimed that the streaming service responded that they "don't go off of resumes," right before they listed Schumer's accomplishments as the reason why she was offered significantly more.
