To Dine: Faith & Flower

To Dine: Faith & Flower(Courtesy of Kim Genevieve) The rise of food trucks and perpetual onslaught of shoes and shirts optional establishments are proof that collective tastes have gotten decidedly more mellow since Tinseltown’s golden era and its telltale razzle-dazzle. Faith & Flower, downtown’s newest and hands-down tastiest answer to fine dining, encourages glamour-starved Angelenos to live in the past – at least for a night. Just one look at the no-details-spared Art Deco décor and I get the urge to whip out my slinkiest LBD, highest heels, vampiest lipstick and whisk away my sweetheart for a night on the town.

To Dine: Faith & Flower                                                 (Courtesy of Kim Genevieve)A glam, sexy look fits right in with opulent table settings, grand chandeliers and a well-stocked bar, while a hand-painted mural of a sultry femme fatale – the eye-catching handiwork of local artist extraordinaire, Robert Vargas – keeps the overall vibe current. The extensive wine list and decadent drink menu are the ultimate excuse to invest in a sparkly new cocktail ring. And though the recently-launched lunch menu may call for a slightly less-showy ensemble, it’s still best to leave the flip-flops and Daisy Dukes at home.
