Velvet by Graham & Spencer Launches Denim

Velvet (Source: Velvet by Graham & Spencer Toni Skinny Jean in Petrol, $167; Jenny Tailored Boyfriend Jean in Vintage, $167; Yves Tuxedo Skinny Jean in Noir, $147)When Jenny Graham and Toni Spencer founded Velvet in 1997, the duo introduced an instantly popular range of fine, LA-inspired T-shirts. A second line of contemporary dresses and separates coined Graham & Spencer followed ten years later, and earlier this month another wardrobe staple was added to the brand: jeans.

Made in Los Angeles and priced from $147 to $167, Velvet by Graham & Spencer’s debut denim collection includes three styles and 14 washes. Named for its designers are the Toni ($167)—a body-hugging skinny jean with a touch of stretch—and a slouchy, low-slung boyfriend style dubbed Jenny ($167). Yves ($147), a slim-fitting design accented with piped tuxedo pant detailing, completes the offerings.
