Get Excited: Milly's Collection for Kohl's Has Landed
And it's already received the celebrity stamp of approval.
News about Kohl's next designer collaboration with Thakoon for the fall may have just broken this week, but that shouldn't overshadow the current awesomeness coming out of the retailer's DesigNation program right this minute. Today, the department store's spring-perfect collection with Milly hits stores, marking the initiative's sixth installment.
Designer Michelle Smith found inspiration in Capri, Italy, conjuring up a vibrant range of dresses ($54–$84), skirts ($54–$70), pants ($48–$58), shorts ($44) and tops ($38–$60) that blend her signature brand of modern femininity with Italian sprezzatura, or effortless style. While everything is under $100 per usual, this is the first DesigNation collection to include girls' apparel, with mini versions of two dresses ($48) on offer.
Jamie King was the first celeb spotted wearing the collection—head to toe, no less. She paired a floral-print pencil skirt ($50) with a striped slogan tee ($40) that she tied up for a seriously stylish combo.
Our next glimpse came from Sophia Bush, who looked ladylike in a scuba fit-and-flare dress ($68).
LaLa Anthony gave the same frock ($68) an edgy twist by throwing a leather jacket over her shoulders.
Kate Bosworth sprung for the same striped tee ($40) as Jamie King, tucking hers into a pair of cutoff denim shorts for a more casual look.
Olivia Munn looked darling in the line's sheer organza midi skirt ($70) while walking her dog on a lemonade run.
On her way to the launch party for the collection, model Hannah Davis looked chic wearing an abstract umbrella-print midi skirt ($50).
Style star Olivia Palermo also selected a printed pencil skirt ($50) from the collection for the event, pairing hers with a knotted chambray shirt and blue suede pumps.
Model Chanel Iman paired her floral pencil skirt ($50) with a graphic tee ($40) also from the collection.
DJ Leigh Lezark selected a lemon-adorned striped sheath ($68) for a night of spinning tunes at the launch event.
And last but not least, actress Zosia Mamet grounded a sweet striped A-line dress ($84) with a pair of black combat boots.
