1. Stay off social media first thing in the morning.
It can feel like second nature to immediately check your social media accounts after turning off your alarm in the morning. It makes sense - your phone is already in your hand and you're not quite ready to get out of bed yet. Though this may feel like an easy solution to waking up, it's actually a detrimental way to start your day. 

When you first wake up in the morning, your mind is fresh and creativity is at its peak. Checking social media is not only distracting and stunts productivity, but it can even spark negative feelings (FOMO much?) that you simply don't need at the start of your day. Life is stressful enough, don't add to it. Begin your morning with positivity - focus on your goals and get ready conquer the day.
