Instagram's Best Street Style Accounts
Our five street style 'must follows'
Perhaps Instagram wasn’t created for street style alone, but at this point, the two are inextricably linked.
Professional and amateur photographers alike indulge followers with striking snaps, capturing enviable looks spotted around the globe. Models, bloggers and fashion editors are common subjects, although impeccable style on less familiar faces is celebrated all the same.
While a dizzying number of accounts are dedicated to sharing great street style, if you ask us, these five are must follows.
#1: Jak & Jil, @jakandjil
Since launching his blog, Jak & Jil, in 2005, Tommy Ton has captured countless street-style photos, making him a regular at fashion shows and industry events. Much to our delight, his shots of editors, models and other stylish subjects are on Instagram, too.
#2: Yvan Rodic, Facehunter
Photographer Yvan Rodic fills his account with shots taken in the world’s most fashionable cities, many of which also appear on his eight-year-old blog by the same name. The photos often focus on a single person—or face—and the results are always stunning.
#3: Adam Katz Sinding, @le21eme
In their own words, the team behind Le 21ème (pronounced Luh Van-Tay-Un-Eee-Em) says the site is “not a street style blog,” but rather a “photo-journalistic view into the daily world of fashion from cities and Fashion Weeks around the world.” Call it what they may, the photos shared on the site's Instagram account are some of the best style pics we’ve seen.
#4: Scott Schuman, @thesartorialis
The Sartorialist, Soctt Schuman’s wildly popular web destination, features incredibly dapper individuals photographed everywhere from the steps of Lincoln Center to the streets of Johannesburg. A selection of his artful photos also appear on this handle.
This handle features a curated assortment of street style photos, taken by prominent fashion bloggers and photographers. Street Peeper’s Phil Oh (@MrStreetPeeper), who took the shot above, and shutterbug HB Nam (@hbnam) are among those often credited.
