As one half of the sister duo behind DANNIJO, Jodie Snyder Morel has bedecked some of the world's biggest style stars (see:  Beyonce, Blake LivelyJessica Alba, et al) in the brand's signature statement baubles. In the past year, she's also welcomed a couple of other babies into the family: a killer handbag line and new range of killer-cool shoes.  But nothing compares to the arrival of precious daughter Margaux, who made her debut in January and is already hobnobbing with celeb friends like Sophia Bush.

Of course, mama Jodie approached pregnancy dressing (and nursery design) like she does everything else: with a confident, downtown aesthetic and a reliable dose of drool-worthy accessories. Here, the new mother shares the secrets behind her maternity look.

You looked amazing during your pregnancy. What was your general approach to 'dressing the bump'?

"I had fun dressing when I was pregnant. I didn't buy any maternity clothes except maternity jeans, which I lived in. These Citizens of Humanity Maternity Koi Denim Leggings ($168) are the best.

For everything else, I just bought bigger sizes and I wasn't afraid to show off my bump. I preferred a fitted silhouette instead of wearing everything baggy."

Were there specific brands that you gravitated to?

"Yes. In addition to the Citizens of Humanity maternity jeans, I wore a lot of James Perse, Acne tees, Nili Lotan sweaters, T by Alexander Wang and a lot of DANNIJO."

What was the most challenging part of maternity dressing?

"Wearing jackets and coats became a bit challenging."

What about the first few months postpartum –what key wardrobe pieces have you gotten you through this period?

"I wore boyfriend jeans with big sweaters and slightly oversized vintage dresses."

Any beauty must-haves while pregnant?

I used Cowshed Udderly Gorgeous Stretch Mark Balm ($33) and VMV Hypoallergenics Know-It-Oil ($26) (made from virgin, organic coconut oil) on my face."

As an accessories queen, we imagine you don't just have any old diaper bag. What did you choose?

"I've been switching between a DANNIJO sample tote bag that we never produced and a FEED diaper bag ($150)."
