Mixed-media jackets have enjoyed a long moment in the spotlight, but many television characters are opting for a new take on the casual cover-ups. We've recently seen a number of actresses sporting similar outerwear featuring leather cuffs to complete their edgier ensembles. See the small-screen stars who have already put their stamp of approval on the trend—plus where to stock up for yourself.

Modern Family star Sarah Hyland kick-started the leather-accent movement by flaunting one of her favored draped cardigans from H&M ($18) back in October. While traveling over the holidays, Hannah Simone's character Cece followed suit with her Michelle Mason coat boasting burgundy sleeves, as seen on New Girl in December. And just last night, Bay (played by Willa Holland) inverted Simone's style with a red open-front option featuring the same three-quarter cuffs in black courtesy of BB Dakota.

Although Hyland's and Simone's are no longer available for purchase, you can still stock up on Holland's two-toned coat ($101) as well as two comparable options: a relaxed cardigan ($88) and a moto-inspired jacket ($100).
