After last week's watershed episode wherein Riley told Kyle she slept with someone else and Evan made out with Shelby, his cadet-made, we were so excited to tune in tonight for the latest The Client List installment, 'Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy.' Check out all the excitement as it unfolded in episode 9.

The opener was happy ending massage that, um, wasn't: This week's episode opens at The Rub, where the tables have turned and Riley is on the massage table... being sketched by her client! Don't worry, she's not pulling a Rose from Titanic—Riley's not naked, she's wearing a black slip. Seems like her kooky ex-lawyer client has artistic aspirations. "I feel like Picasso with his mistress," he tells her. "I have a whole hour! Best money I ever spent."

Later in the episode, we get to see the finished piece—an acrylic painting that looks like it came straight from one of those affordable art fairs at your local airport hotel. Sorry, dude, should've stuck with the law.

Kyle and Evan aren't getting along... even though Kyle is crashing at Evan's apartment.

Kyle is trying, though: Just released from prison, Kyle is trying to earn his way back into his family—starting with this week's episode where he packs the kids' lunch, takes them to school, and gives Travis a pep talk when the kid tries and fails to spell "supermarket." And, finally, we get some reaction for last week's big moment—when Riley confesses to sleeping with someone else (though Kyle doesn't know it was for money).

"I'm not saying I have any right or that it's even logical, but the thought of you with another man destroys me," Kyle tells her.

That afternoon, he goes to visit Dale at Harold's bar where Dale is tinkering with his drum set. The two, who used to play in a band together in high school, start jamming together and Dale invites Kyle to play with him on Saturday night.

Sometime in between the jam session and the gig that weekend, Lacey pops by Evan's place and yells at Kyle. She tells him she'll be watching him "like a hawk."

The gig at Harold's turns out to be a huge success. After the set, Kyle comes over to Riley's table and asks her to dance. She says yes. It's kind of sweet, even though we're all still sort of mad at Kyle for being a dick.

Meanwhile, the staff at The Rub are getting hot and heavy:
Nikki flirts with Derek—she asks him to go to dinner and puts her hand on his thigh. "A guy like you deserves to be something more than funbuddies," she tells him. Derek, remember, is hooking up with Selena—and in this episode, we start to get the hint that he likes Selena as way more than a "funbuddy."

Selena gets a plot line! The Rub's resident mean girl, Selena, moves into the limelight this week when she's served divorce papers and her soon-to-be ex-husband shows up (he's preppy) demanding custody of her horse, Henry. This is a lot of information, to be honest. Before right this morning, no one had any idea that Selena was married or that she had a horse called Henry.

Of course, she doesn't want to give her horse up—luckily the artist client guy used to be a lawyer and takes a look at the papers for her. Looks like her ex is demanding half her earnings and half the value of Henry—and is threatening to audit her and The Rub, which could spell big trouble for Riley & Co.

The team at The Rub come up with the idea to help Selena come up with the money by selling all her expensive designer handbags. Selena is upset and cries. Derek tries to console her, but she tells him she doesn't want to see him anymore.

"Relationships are nothing but trouble," she says.

After selling her handbags, the team comes up with $12,000 to give to her ex. He wants $30,000, so she throws in the Corvette, and he leaves them alone (hopefully forever).

Evan is boring again: Nice guy Evan, Kyle's brother, is about to graduate from police academy with his new ladyfriend Shelby. "This is the first time I feel like I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be," he tells her.

Later that week, Shelby turns up at Evan's apartment with two coffees. They don't drink the coffee, they banter and then they make out... and then they have the most awkward primetime sexytime ever—complete with hair flipping, girl-on-top, guy-on-top, tumble-everywhere thrashing on the floor. In slow-motion.

Lynette reappears in this episode: Riley's mom is still in rehab, so Riley goes to visit her. Later on in the episode, Kyle also offers to go visit, which Riley finds really touching.
