Sam Smith
When radio host Howard Stern made some extremely negative and hurtful comments toward artist Sam Smith on a SiriusXM radio countdown, Smith was, like the rest of us, understandably baffled.

In a confusing turn of events, Stern pointedly insulted Smith's physical appearance and sexual orientation while complimenting his voice and music. "I like that he's chubby and gay, that's why I love him. He's one of those guys, he's really good but I feel like that will be his only hit song," the radio host and TV personality said.

"And speaking about his latest hit, I Know I'm Not The Only One," Stern continued, "that’s how good that song is, he's fat and he's gay and little girls worship him, that's when you know you have a good song and you have a good voice."

The ever-dignified Smith took the high road on this one, choosing to tweet, "Can't believe what I've just read." And to retweet a response of Bonnie Hunt's, in which she came to his defense. Sometimes, no response is all the response you need.
