Melissa McCarthy
After a critic of her film Tammy made rude and sexist remarks about her appearance, Melissa McCarthy later ran into him and questioned his review.

According to Babble, McCarthy asked if the critic's comments toward her, calling her "homely," for example, were comments he'd also make toward a man. "Would you say that to any guy? When John C. Reilly — or any actor — is playing a character that is depressed and dejected, would you say, 'Well, you look terrible!'?"

After she asked him if he had a daughter himself, and he responded yes, she admonished him, "Watch what you say to her. Do you tell her she’s only worthwhile or valid when she’s pretty?"

If his daughter came home with the news that she had been told she can't have a job because she's unattractive, McCarthy continued, would he respond, "That's right"? Of course not. In fact, her critic's response to this was, "No, I would never want that to happen. I would never in a million years want that to happen."

Sounds like she really got through to him! Read the rest of McCarthy's response here.
