Dolly Parton and Porter Wagoner performed together from 1967 to 1974, and when their partnership ended, Parton wrote "I Will Always Love You" for him as a goodbye. But a few years later, Wagoner was still angry that Parton broke up their duo to establish a solo career. In 1979 he sued Parton for "breach of contract" for the tune of $3 million.
