Country Music's Biggest Scandals

In 2008, country singer Jared Ashley performed at a Nashville nightclub owned by John Rich. An altercation between the two men broke out that night, and according to Ashley, he was punched in the face by Rich. Rich was arrested for battery, and during the court hearing the club owner explained that Ashley entered his private bar, The Spot, without permission and resisted when security guards asked him to leave.

Things only escalated from there, where Rich allegedly left threatening voicemail messages on Ashley's phone, and Rich accused Ashley of copyright infringement.
