Miranda Lambert came to her then-husband Blake Shelton's defense when Eric Church made disparaging remarks against artists who joined reality singing contests. 

“Honestly, if Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green turn around in a red chair, you got a deal? That’s crazy. I don’t know what would make an artist do that. You’re not an artist," he said in 2012.

Lambert called out Church on Twitter, pointing out that she herself got her big break on such a show. "Thanks Eric Church for saying I’m not a real artist. Or @kelly_clarkson, @carrieunderwood & @KeithUrban. You’re welcome for the tour in 2010." Church apologized, and the two have since moved on from the comment.
