The hailing Queen Bee of Vanderpump Rules is debatable. However, it's clear that rivals Scheana Marie and Stassi Schroeder have paved their own paths. Last month, we heard Schroeder, the show's resident fashionista, make her case for stylish statement jewelry, and now we're checking in with Marie, whose pageant history made her a shoe-in for launching her own cosmetics collection for Star Looks. While she recently unveiled her first collection for daytime beauty ($14–$23), she will release more dramatic products for nighttime next month. We caught up with the star, whose Miami bachelorette party—which Schroeder is no longer invited to—airs tonight, to get her own tips for on and off camera.

I’ve been doing makeup since I was 12 years old, so I’ve been very good at it from a young age."

How does your beauty routine differ on and off camera? “I tend to wear lashes a lot more on camera than in my everyday life. If I’m just going to the grocery store or mall, I’m not going to put on full makeup; I’ll just do a little mascara. On camera, I tend to wear a heavier foundation, more full coverage, whereas everyday I wouldn’t necessarily wear as much makeup. I don’t usually do eyeshadow unless it’s at night. I don’t do too much makeup during the day; I try to keep my day look a little simpler.”

What is your favorite feature to emphasize? "I would say either my lashes or my brows. Those are the two things I’m most anal about. Whenever I get my makeup done, I’m like, 'Okay, if you can’t do my brows the way I like them, I’ll just do them myself,' [but] I always do my own makeup [on camera]. And I’m very picky with the eyelashes [$14] I wear. I don’t like ones that are just full; I like full and long."

What is the easiest way to bring your makeup from day to night? "For nighttime, you just always add a little more. For day, I’ll do a light base [and] a little bit of blush. I have my eyebrow palette [$23] that I use daily, so I’ll fill in my brows a little, some mascara, some gloss and I'm good to go. For night, you can even use the eyeshadow palette [$15] that I have now. During the day, I use the two [lighter] colors and then for night, add a bit of the dark brown that’s in the same palette and spice it up a little. Also, add a bit of a darker lipstick. I like to start light, and then you can add as much or as little as you’d like."

How would you describe your personal style? “Right now, I’m super into the crop top, so whether that’s with pants or a skirt during the summer, I love to wear it all year long. I have some long-sleeve sweatery crop tops for the winter that I can wear with a skirt and some thigh-highs or pants. I’m [also] really into wedges right now—the ones with the cutouts. I feel like the ‘90s are starting to come back, so I’m incorporating a lot of that into my style right now. I’ve always been obsessed with the ‘80s, so you’ll definitely see me rock a super bright pink lip and a high ponytail. I like to mix genres together and come up with my own style."

Who are your style icons? "Kim Kardashian’s face is probably my favorite thing to look at, so I would definitely say her."

What are your New Year's resolutions? "I’m trying to workout more. I don’t workout ever; my [exercise routine] is just dancing in my living room with my girlfriends drunk, usually. I don’t like New Year's resolutions; I think they’re kind of cheesy. If you’re going to do something, start now. I started weeks ago, and I’ve been going to the gym every week. That’s something I want to keep more consistent because I think if I get in better shape now, by the time we [husband Michael Shay, left] want to have kids—since we just got married—I’ll be in good shape. We don’t want kids for a couple years, so I’m just going to start getting healthy and cut out the late-night eating. That’s my biggest problem."

Makeup at the gym: is it a do or a don’t? "I start my day at the gym. I can’t go mid-day, after work or at night. I wake up, have a cup of coffee, grab a couple bottles of water, have some breakfast and just head straight to the gym. If I don’t start my day with it, I won’t go. So I never wear makeup to the gym; I have absolutely no one to impress. I’m married, so I really don’t care."
