'Into the Woods' Star Lilla Crawford Dishes on Her Dream Wardrobe
Guess which Disney princess she'd love to trade closets with.
In Into the Woods, Lilla Crawford's attire was very defined: bows, blue dress, red cape, matching shoes. In real life, the actress, who portrayed Little Red Riding Hood in the Oscar-nominated film (in case you didn't catch that), fantasizes about similar storybook styles. Last week, the starlet kickstarted New York Fashion Week by attending JCPenney's Modern Day Fairy Tale event, which had Katie Holmes, Nina Garcia and Charlotte Ronson judge student designers reimagining Cinderella's gown from the upcoming film, where she dished to us all about her own fantasy wardrobe.
What is your favorite Disney movie? “That’s really hard because there are so many great Disney movies. My favorite princess is Merida [from Brave], but Cinderella is such a classic. When you think Disney princesses, you think Cinderella. I’m super-excited for this movie to come out; it looks amazing."
How would you describe your personal style? “I’m very classy. I love wearing pretty princess dresses, kind of like that [Cinderella’s gown], sparkles and purple. That’s like my favorite thing to wear. I also like period clothing—dresses inspired from the ‘20s and ‘50s—and love vintage shopping; my favorite clothing retailer is ModCloth."
The starlet showed off her love of sparkles later in the week at the fall presentation of Charlotte Ronson, who dished to us that her own favorite Disney flick is Lady and the Tramp. Browse the designer's—and part-time judge—latest collection here.
