33. Rihanna In Elie Saab, 2010
Rihanna is known for her penchant for couture when it comes to the Grammy red carpet, and her 2010 look was no less dramatic than the rest. The artist wore an Elie Saab Fall 2009 Couture gown that had a high neck with feathers. She gave off definitive "snow queen" vibes with her gathered hips and bodice white appliques. (She also wore Elie Saab to the 2010 American Music Awards.)

This was the same year that Lady Gaga arrived in her Armani celestial dress, so there was a lot of competition on the red carpet. RiRi matched her white gown with frosted white makeup, which was inspired by the Saab couture show.

"Her dress was a couture gown by Elie Saab, and I was inspired by the makeup look at that show," makeup artist Mylah Morales told ELLE. "On the runway there was a block of matte white eye shadow on the eyes but in order to make it less theatrical and more suitable for the red carpet I went with a shimmer texture."

2010 was quite the red carpet year for Elie Saab. A few months later, actress Marion Cotillard wore a feathered mini dress from that same collection to the 2010 SAG Awards, where she was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture for her role in Nine. From the Grammys to the SAG Awards, the couture collection was making its rounds.
