It was surprising to see Rihanna going minimal at the 2012 Met Gala. After all, the pop star can totally pull off the most OTT looks. But you have to admire the edgy elegance of this handstitched black crocodile column dress from Tom Ford. It had a simple design with an open back, but that rich texture was gorgeous and it fit RiRi like a second skin!
