Lizzo At The 2020 Grammy Awards
Lizzo was one of the first to arrive on the red carpet, and she set the tone for the glamorous evening ahead with her white Atelier Versace gown. The artist was nominated for a whopping eight nominations, and was set to perform on stage. The Atelier Versace dress had a vintage look to it, with a thigh high slit that was decorated with embellished piping. Her hips also had a slight peplum, with structured ruffles accenting the shape.
She amped up the glamour by matching the dress with a two-strand diamond necklace, as well as a heavy white fur stole that she slung over her shoulders. It was the perfect touch to the retro look. The stole had three arm straps that used the same white embellishments as her dress, so it could be possible that Versace created the wrap as well. (And if that was the case, then it would be a faux-fur stole, because the fashion house no longer uses real fur.)
Lizzo has showed her love for feather boas before, donning a red boa to the 2019 MTV VMAs. That time she wore a red Moschino strapless dress by Jeremy Scott, which had the word "Siren" stamped down its length. She paired the sequined dress with a beehive hairdo and a long, red feather boa, making her look like one of The Supremes. Lizzo isn't afraid to play with different eras when it comes to her red carpet looks.
