53. Priyanka Chopra At The 2020 Grammy Awards
Priyanka Chopra went full rock n' roll on the Grammy red carpet with a navel-grazing Ralph & Russo Couture dress. She came in support of her husband Nick Jonas, and she wore a dramatic dress worthy of the stage. The gown had caftan-style sleeves, carpet-grazing fringe, and delicate floral embroidery. The dress's neckline plunged passed her pierced bellybutton, making us think of another iconic Grammy dress: Jennifer Lopez's legendary tropical-print Versace gown from 2000 that literally created Google Images because so many people searched for photos of the frock the next day.

While Chopra's dress didn't create quite the same stir as Lopez's gown did, it was still a bold and stunning pick. The piece came from Ralph & Russo's Spring 2018 Couture presentation. Chopra's pick was the first dress on the runway, and it was a "a ’30s-style silk crepe kimono with hand-painted peonies, ivory crystals, organza petals, and ombré fringing and tassels," according to Vogue. The 2018 collection was inspired by Ralph & Russo's travels through Asia, and the designers cited inspirations like "mother-of-pearl details spotted at the furniture museum in Seoul" for their pearl studded dresses, and "the lights of Tokyo at night" for a glittering cage dress, and "traditional Chinese roofing" for some of the plissé work.

Chopra also added a last-minute detail to her Grammy look. Just a few hours before the Grammys, legendary basketball star Kobe Bryant passed away in a helicopter crash, and the actress payed tribute to him and his daughter by painting  his jersey number “24” on her manicure.
