5. Dorothy Gale, 'The Wizard of Oz'
Speaking of The Wizard of Oz, you know we couldn't talk about iconic dresses without mentioning Dorothy's (Judy Garland) blue and white gingham apron dress. 

In 2015, the outfit, which consists of the dress and an off-white, high-neck cotton blouse, sold for just over $1.5M at a New York auction. Here's a little fun fact: "Judy Garland" is inscribed on the inside of the skirt.
