It Doesn't Get More 2020 Than These Shocking Celeb Stories

On June 8, news broke that Naya Rivera was missing after her young son was found alone on a boat on Lake Piru in Southern California. Though she was presumed dead the following day, it wasn't until June 13 that they actually recovered her body. 

It is believed that Rivera and her son got caught in a rip current (the lake is notorious for them), and that she mustered her last bit of strength to get her son on the boat before she drowned. Her death is about as tragic as it gets. RIP, Naya.
