How To Get Over It:
Whether it was stolen or lost, it's gone. Accept it. If you're in a city where you can get a phone, get the cheapest temporary phone you can just to have a way to contact people. If you're not in a city, ask someone if you can use their phone so you can let someone back home know the situation and, if need be, get into your email and give you all the contact information you need for the rest of your trip.

It's here that I should point out that it's always good to have print-outs of your itinerary as well as a color copy of passport. As they say, it's better to be safe than sorry.
