Well, you can't put Cruel Intentions on a list like this and not include its original inspiration: Dangerous Liaisons. The plot, of course, is very similar with the Marquise Isabelle de Merteuil (Glenn Close) plotting with Valmont (John Malkovich) to seduce Madame Marie de Tourvel (Michelle Pfeiffer). It's sexy and wicked and definitely more sophisticated than Cruel Intentions. It's also not the final version of this story. If you watch this and Cruel Intentions and want even more, there's also Valmont... with Colin Firth in the role of Valmont, which, honestly, is kind of a stretch. Mark Darcy is no Valmont.
