"At the time of the first picture, people would say "I wish I was as skinny as you" or, "you don’t need to workout." These kind of comments made me want to stay how I was and if anything lose more fat. Not in a million years did I think I’d gain over 20lbs. I weigh my heaviest ever right now. Two very different mindsets and lifestyles in both pictures. I always thought that a ‘fitter’ body was achieved through lower everything. Lower calories, lower scale weight, lower body fat, and I have the complete opposite of each of those now, and feel better in my body. The scale is a tool, and I didn’t even look at the scale as a proper measurement until recently now that seeing an increase in weight is actually motivating to me. I know it can be obsessed over, so I focused on me first."
