26. Burg Wolfsegg in Wolfsegg, Germany
800 years ago, Ulrich von Laaber and his wife Klara von Helfenstein built the Burg Wolfsegg Castle in Germany. Little did they know the violence and spectral activity that would dog the site.

After Ulrich, who was a traveling knight often called away by business and military matters, discovered that his wife Klara had been unfaithful to him with a local businessman, he had her murdered. (Because murder is always a solid way to solve your marital issues, right?)

Once her lover, Georg, discovered her death, he walked straight into the forest surrounding the castle, never to return. It's said that even today, Klara haunts the premises, although she has been known since as the "Woman in White."
