Calling All PSL Lovers! Starbucks Has A New Pumpkin Drink — The First In 16 Years
This creamy iced pumpkin drink is available August 27.
Yes it's still August, and yes Starbuck's pumpkin spiced drinks are already returning (on August 27 to be exact). This year, though, things are a little less basic as the coffee chain is releasing their first new pumpkin spice drink in 16 years. Enter the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, which is not your average PSL.
This new iced beverage, which is apparently less sweet than the traditional PSL, is "made with cold brew and a vanilla base and topped with frothy pumpkin cream cold foam and a dusting of pumpkin spice," according to a report from CNBC. Believe it or not, it is Starbucks' first new pumpkin spice drink since 2003.
With just the foam containing the pumpkin flavor, we imagine the tasty new drink will have just a touch of pumpkin, making it more appropriate to drink in August when #hotgirlsummer is still alive and well. The Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew is also more coffee forward, so rather than having coffee with your milk and sugar, you'll actually be having pumpkin with your coffee.
It seems like the chain has finally caught on to the fact that August isn't part of fall. Don't worry though, the classic PSL, as well as the Salted Caramel Mocha, will still be available. Hey, we're not here to judge.
Autumn is coming y'all!
