Smart Styling: Hollywood's Most Flattering Trend

The color-block trend came—and lingered—and went, but in its wake left us with this enduring design idea. It was Stella McCartney's famous cocktail dress that really kicked things off. Celebs couldn't get enough of its slimming curve-accentuating effect. Heck, Kate Winslet wore the dress in two different colorways at the Cannes Film Festival. Liv Tyler, Kris Jenner, and Brooklyn Decker all reveled in the brilliant piece, as well.

Today, it was Heidi Klum's Roland Mouret dress that re-established the power of the trend. Take a look at stunning examples of paneling and its best red carpet moments to date.
