You can't walk a full block these days without crossing paths with someone clad in skinny black leather pants. With the new year just around the corner, perhaps now is the perfect time to shake things up a bit and purchase a couple of pairs of this wardrobe staple in a totally different hue.
Several of our favorite celebs are already ahead of the sartorial curve. Globetrotting fashionista Olivia Palermo cleverly matched a dusty rose pair to her blazer, while German actress Natalia Woerner rocked a rich chocolate cocoa pair. Khloe Kardashian brightened up a black tee and blazer with a pair in royal blue, and Brooke Burke wore a gray pair with a cherry red moto jacket. Then there's model Kiara Kabukuru, who combined to trends in one—orange leather leggings and a fitted blazer sans shirt.
But if vibrant colors feel a little too out of character for you and your closet, try sticking to darker neutrals. Skinnies in shades like olive, navy, caramel, gunmetal, and espresso are just as wearable and versatile as your trusty black.
